1. Can I bring my own food into Cayman?
The quick answer is yes. If you are considering bringing dairy products, fish products or any breads and crackers you should have no problem. Chicken and Meat can be brought into Cayman providing that it has the USDA label on it (up to 25 lbs.) Fruits and Vegetables are not allowed into Cayman.
2. Can I find Kosher food products in Cayman?
Foster's at Camana Bay has a large selection of kosher products mostly from the United States, and carries Grape Juice, Kosher Cold Cuts and Chicken. Cost U Less, Kirk Market and Hurleys also have many kosher products.
The Tasting Room at the Caribbean Plaza carries several kosher fine wines, as well as Blackbeards Liquer store.
The common Hashgachot from the USA such as OU, OK, Chof K, Star K, etc. are prevalent.
3. Are there any kosher restaurants or take out in Cayman?
The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman carries Kosher Meals from Sterling Kosher Caterer's in Miami (under Hashgacha of the OK)
These meals can be ordered by hotel Guests or to dine in at the Ritz Carlton, orders should be made directly from the hotel.
The Westin also carries Kosher meals.
They are pre-made and frozen and you must select from the Menu selection of what is in stock.
4. Is there a place that i can join for Shabbat meals?

5. Is Cayman safe for vacationers?
Thank G‑d Cayman is considered very safe for tourists.
6. How can I get around Cayman without a car?
Yes, Cayman offers a minibus transportation service, offering constant rides up and down Seven Mile Beach for 2.50 USD per trip. There are also plenty of taxis all around SMB and George Town.
7. What is the weather like in Cayman?
Temperatures peak in July and August, with daytime highs in the low 90s and high humidity. May, June, September and October are the wettest months of the year—the latter two months record an average of 9 inches each month. Summer thunderstorms are frequent, but usually brief.
The best weather is from November to April, with balmy days and refreshing evenings. From June to November, the region is on alert for Atlantic hurricanes which occasionally vent their full, destructive fury on the Caribbean.

10. Where can I enjoy Jewish Holidays in Cayman?
Chabad Cayman provides all year round Shabbos and holiday services.
All Jewish Holidays are celebrated with communal Passover Seders, Chanukah celebrations, annual Purim party, and Rosh Hashana & Yom Kippur services. Just contact us and let us know if you will be participating.
11. How can I use my cell phone from home?
You can buy a local sim card for about 10 USD in all supermarkets which will accept free incoming calls.

13. Do i need to exchange money into the local KYD Currency?
No, being that the Cayman dollar is pegged to the US dollar (at a rate of $0.82.) you can use US dollars and Credit Cards (ensure that your provider will not charge you a foreign transaction fee.
14. Hospitals in Cayman.
Cayman Islands Health Services Complex with highly trained professionals is located in George Town, Grand Cayman.
It boasts A 24 hour hyperbaric decompression chamber is available for divers and an air ambulance service for other emergencies. The telephone number is (345) 949-8600.
There is also a private hospital - CTMH Doctors Hospital - in George Town, as well as a number of other private facilities that offer a variety of professional medical services.
