PASSOVER IN CAYMAN - THE FESTIVAL OF FREEDOM

The eight-day festival of Passover, celebrated in early spring, commemorates the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt. Pesach is observed by avoiding leavened foods and is highlighted by the Seder meals, which include four cups of wine, eating matzah and bitter herbs, and retelling the story of the Exodus.

Passover 2025

Passover begins on Shabbat night, April 12th, and is celebrated for eight days, concluding on Sunday night, April 20th.

This year is unique in that the day preceding Pesach is Shabbat, Click here to read more about the changes for this year.

We will be hosting Seders, Shabbat and Passover Services:

Services schedule:

  • Shabbat Morning April 11th at 8:30 am

  • Sunday Morning, April 12th at 10:30 am

  • Monday Morning, April 13th at 10:30 am

  • Shabbat Morning, April 19th at 10:00 am

  • Sunday Morning, April 20th at 10:00 am - Yizkor Memorial Service and Moshiach Feast.

Passover Seder

You are cordially invited to join us for the Annual Cayman Jewish Community Passover Seder on Sunday, April 13th, at the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort at 6:00 PM, the 2nd night of Passover.

Handmade and hearth-baked, Shmurah Matzah is carefully overseen from the moment the wheat is harvested until it is hand-rolled and baked in a brick oven. The traditional round matzahs are ideal for the Seder and are referred to in the Zohar as the “bread of healing and faith.”
